My One Cent Worth of Thoughts

I just changed my website Host. OMG, it takes a huge amount of work. But I learnt a lot from the support.

I have used a few different host like Hostgator, Hostinger and there’s one more that I don’t remember. Lol. I shifted from Hostgator to Hostinger because they gave a cheaper package… After migrating, I realised that I prefer Hostgator’s support. For Hostinger, it is close to impossible to speak to a human. Everything is by AI. Oh well, it is the AI world after all! But it was very frustrating and I had to go through hoops and loops before I could even speak to a human. And the human wasn’t even very helpful.

For Hostgator, I got the human immediately. Yay!!! The human support at Hostgator were immensely helpful! And I always got my problems resolved. They were really patient with a computing idiot like me. They had to teach me step by step, how to change the dns server pointers, even download a FTP client (yes, I am THAT tech idiotic!!), taught me how to backup, transfer the files in and then they did a lot of programming on their end to help me bring everything up from their end once I managed to drop the files in.

I am really thankful for them. I have decided to stay with them as long as I can! So if you are a tech idiot like me… just go for Hostgator… Anyway, I am not paid to promote them. :P
